Located on the east side of City Hall, the park sits along Rawhide Creek and has connecting paths north to Cox Soccer Complex and south to the Historical Park, the DART station area and Liberty Plaza.

Gussie Field Watterworth Park

Get that rod and reel ready young anglers and prepare to catch the big one! Friday evening, Farmers Branch Rawhide Creek will be stocked full with one ton of hungry catfish. But that’s not all, there will also be a catch and release fishing tank, bounce houses, kid activity zone, prize give-a-ways featuring a Nintendo Wii and much more. Free bait and loaner equipment will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Kids are also invited to bring their own gear if desired. Fishin’ Fun is free and open to kids age 16 and under. All Children must register onsite with a parent or guardian signature in order to participate.

Agenda

  • 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. for fishing.
  • 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. will be entertainment (and calculating of the longest fish in 3 age categories-1st, 2nd and 3rd).
  • 9:30 p.m. will be the Award ceremony and prize give away.
